Sunday Mornings beginning March 9th, 2014
9:00 - 10:30 AM - Yoga Practice
10:30 - 11:30 AM - Meditation, Breathing Exercises, Yoga Philosophy
Trenton Yoga Foundation, a non-profit organization, hopes to energize the city by offering a donation-supported Sunday School program that teaches and provides yoga, meditation, and philosophy to the community.
The Sunday School opens at 9:00 AM with a self-guided Mysore Yoga practice. This class is suitable for Beginner to Advanced levels and individual instruction will be provided as needed. The yoga class is followed at 10:30 AM by a session that combines meditation, breathing exercises, and Yoga philosophy. Students can come to either or both sessions.
Trenton Yoga Foundation consists of a dedicated group of certified Yoga teachers offering a weekly Yoga class in a powerful classical style of Yoga called Ashtanga. Ashtanga Yoga (also known as Mysore) is effective in helping students deal with weight issues, stress, and lack of mental focus. This powerful style of Yoga is particularly effective for teens and pre-teens. The Trenton Yoga Foundation aims to share the gift of yoga with Trenton. They strive to practice yoga together in order to develop pride in the community.
The Trenton Yoga Foundation Sunday School is held at Higher Power Yoga, 101 South Warren Street, two blocks from the war memorial and state legislature in historic downtown Trenton. Free parking is available Sundays in the lot behind the studio and on the street. For more information about Sunday School call 609-789-8188. Sunday School is donation-based (pay what you can) but you have to register: just complete the simple form below.
